Pampers want to help make life #BetterForBaby !

While everyone's stressing themselves silly over what presents to buy, how to fit the turkey in the oven and how to afford everything that we "need" for Christmas, it's easy to lose from sight what is really important over the festive period and that is undoubtedly family. I always think that Christmas is a time for children and they really don't care about all the expensive trimmings - they'd be happy enough playing with a cardboard box and cuddling up on the settee watching The Snowman ! To remind us of how babies bring out the best in us all, Pampers have just released a short film that shows that there’s nothing we wouldn’t do to make life #BetterForBaby - if you haven’t seen it, you can watch it here.

I love the busy commuter stopping to help with the pushchair and the construction workers turning off their pneumatic drills as the baby passes by. It's always heartwarming to see people on the bus giving up their seats for mums with toddlers or helping hassled mums folding up pushchairs and struggling with bags of shopping, and to help spread the cheer, Pampers are pledging to help make life #BetterForBaby in local communities. Celebrating all that people do to ensure that babies can live their lives to the fullest, Pampers are offering five £1,000 bursaries, to help people like you and me make life #BetterForBaby in our neighbourhoods.

Is there something you’d really love to see built in your community? Maybe you want to improve some much-needed changing facilities, supply nappies and blankets to a local shelter or update playtime equipment for a community nursery… anything goes!

At Christmastime, my heart always goes out to families who are in distress, so I'd love to help spread a little festive cheer and solace to those who need help and support. Offering a bursary to a premature baby unit could help to provide Christmas lunch with a visit from Santa for those parents who don't want to leave their poorly newborn but also don't want their older brothers and sisters to miss out. It would also be great to provide Christmas gifts, decorations and festive food to a women's refuge or the children's ward of a local hospital.

Do you have any other ideas for your local area? If so, Pampers want to know exactly what you’d do to make life #BetterForBaby - tell Pampers your pledge using #BetterForBaby to be in with a chance of winning one of five £1,000 bursaries. Paolo Haeusermann, Brand Manager for Pampers Northern Europe, says: ‘Pampers support every baby’s happy, healthy development, so we’re excited to launch #BetterForBaby to celebrate all the joy that babies bring to our lives. The opportunity for UK consumers to win one of five £1,000 Pampers bursaries means that we can enable real change in local areas and communities. We are looking forward to seeing what pledges are made!’
